New video tutorial on using The Stable

Check out a new video tutorial on how to use “The Bandaid” in The Stable, Washington and Lee’s virtual desktop service.  The Bandaid makes it easy to return to your local desktop when you have finished using The Stable’s virtual desktop, as well as to access both desktops simultaneously.  Learn about these features and more by watching the video here.

Slow response on Web

Information Technology Services has observed that from time to time, attempting to access an outside website from on campus will result in a “Page Not Found” message,  but that reloading the page is often successful in downloading the page. If you observe this problem, please report it by sending an e-mail to help@wlu.edu.  Provide details such as

  • the address of the page you’re attempting to access
  • which Web browser you are using
  • date and time
  • the type and location of computer you are using
  • whether reloading the page was successful

This information will be helpful to ITS in troubleshooting the problem.
